Fwd: Funded PhD studentships in Music Psychology / Music Science

We are pleased to announce four WRoCAH funded PhD scholarships in Music Psychology / Music Science. All funded projects include a collaboration with an external organisation. There is one individual position and three linked positions forming a network. 

Network: 

Supervisors: Freya Bailes (University of Leeds) & Choir with No Name

CDA2332 – Sing together, eat together and build our choir together – An investigation of the balance of socio-musical factors shaping the experiences of members of choirs for people affected by homelessness.

Supervisors: Renee Timmers ( University of Sheffield) & Arts in Health, Sheffield Teaching Hospital 

CDA2330 – Are you a singer? Facilitating the use of voice for people with respiratory conditions through singing and choir participation

Supervisors: Helena Daffern ( University of York) & Shared Harmonies, 

CDA2327 – Building team connections through shared singing experiences: understanding the contributing factors for encouraging engagement and adding value


Individual project:

Supervisors: Nicola Dibben (Un Shefield), & Maison Mercury Jones 

CDA2301 – Making Micromusics_ Musical Summarisation for Sonic Branding
