Research into gender and music education: online survey on how boys and girls learn music

Please can you help us with our research?

We are academics and researchers from University College London who are interested in teachers’ views on how boys and girls learn music in different school contexts. For our purposes, the term "school" is used broadly in the questionnaire, so please interpret this in relation to your own professional context; you will be able to give more detail about your educational context in the questionnaire. The questions are also based on a research survey conducted and the 1990s and we are particularly interested in whether or not the findings in that decade apply today.

We will be very grateful for your time in completing this short, anonymous questionnaire. Thank you for your support with this research.
